International Society for the History of Pharmacy
The International Society for the History of Pharmacy was founded 1926.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Prof. María del Carmen Francés Causapé (1944–2025), a leading historian of pharmacy and former President of the Académie Internationale d’Histoire de la Pharmacie. Her pioneering work and inspiring dedication have left a lasting legacy. Our heartfelt condolences to all who knew and admired her.

We are pleased to announce that Viktorija Šimkutė, a PhD student from Lithuania, has been awarded an ISHP scholarship for her project titled "Between East and West: A Comparative Analysis of the Role of Pharmacists in the Military Forces of Interwar Lithuania, Western and Eastern Europe."
We congratulate Viktorija on this achievement and wish her success in her scientific research. Her work will be presented at the 47th ISHP Congress in Innsbruck, where she will share the results or preliminary findings of her project.
